Fabric Easter Egg Swap
Posted by Brye Lynn on Mar 3, 2010 in Craft Swap |
With the Easter Holiday coming around the corner, I thought this swap was fitting. Below are links to several sites with directions or tutorials on how to make different types of fabric easter eggs. Choose any or all or make up your own - whatever suits your fancy. All eggs will be shipped to me and I will swap and ship different ones back to you.
- Retro Mama – Fabric Easter Eggs
- Kaboose – Quilted Easter Egg
- Sew Mama Sew – Secret Pocket Easter Egg
- The Idea Room – Fabric Easter Eggs
- Thrifty Fun – Fabric Covered Easter Eggs
- Olive Juice & Co – Stuffed Eggies
Here are the RULES:
- Send me an email, bryelynn@sewstitchcreate.com telling me that you want to participate. I will respond with my mailing address.
- Make at least 5 fabric Easter Eggs. You can make as many as you wish, but 5 is the minimum. Keep in mind this is our first swap; if the participation is not very good there may not be enough eggs to swap more than 5. I will try to update the participation numbers.
- Mail the eggs to me with a self address stamped return envelope. The weight for postage of the return envelope should be the same or close to the one you shipped to me.
- I must recieve the eggs no later than March 26, 2010.
- I will swap out the eggs with other crafters eggs, returning to you the same number of eggs you shipped. Hopefully all different.
- I will ship out no later than March 27, 2010, giving USPS 6 days to deliver.
- If you live internationally, you are welcome to participate. Keep in mind that I will need your eggs earlier so I can ship out earlier, giving it more time to get to you.

While hand stitching the fabric easter eggs shut, my cat decided that he liked the eggs. He high-jacked two of them and has hid them very well. I had to make more eggs to replace the ones he decided were his to hide. I think I will make him his own for Easter with catnip stitched inside.
Sounds like fun!!! I really wish I had time to do this swap. Please post pics of your eggs.

Rats! I am in the middle of moving and I don’t think my sweetie would understand my sudden need to start cutting and stuffing in the middle of total chaos. I love the craft swap idea–count me in on the next, Jill
