I told you I can’t Cook

Rick my hamburgers for dinner tonight. My only job was to cut up tomatos and lettuce. What a perfect opportunity to use my new mandolin.
Here is the disaster I made. Tomato Mush.
I can’t figure out what I did wrong. Maybe a mandolin is not meant for a soft veggie.
I better stick to the Easy Bake Oven! Morgan and I did melted chocolate in her EB. We made chocolate covered bananas and peanut butter for desert.

i’m not much of a cook but i do watch the food network
i’m pretty sure you don’t use a mandolin for tomatoes–use a serrated, also called a bread knife, for that kind of job. i have fun listening to your show–thanks!
Brye, I’m sure it was the tomato…not the operator, that caused the problem!!!! Bananas look fabulous by the way! And, who needs tomatoes when you have chocolate?
I’ve been listening for a while now, catching up on all your old podcasts- I love your show!. I’ve learned a lot- especially about applique. I’m quilting my first quilt now – a simple patchwork- and your podcast has kept me going through all the hours of long, tedious quilting!
So, keep it up! You are doing a great job!
