Episode 25 ~ QuiltFest Jax
Listen to the podcast of this postThis week I reviewed my trip to QuiltFest Jax! I couldn’t fit all the pictures into this post – so look for more postings over the next few days.
Congratulations to Plynne! She won the free seat in Annie Smith’s online class – Quilting 101.
Thank you to Lisa who shared her latest project – a Bargello quilt – Lightening Strikes! Don’t you love this Fabric. Check out how Lisa keeps everything organized. Great job – it is going to be a beautiful quilt.
Here are my latest blocks in my Frolic Quilt.

QuiltFest Jacksonville!

I am Brye Lynn, host, author, and creator of Sew ~ Stitch ~ Create! I am a lifetime sewer and beginner quilter. This blog is dedicated to my journey into the crafting world as I learn and explore my favorite medium – fiber and fabric.

I recently discovered your podcast and I’m so enjoying listening. You give such great tips and you have a lovely calm voice. Your description of the quilt show was so wonderful I felt like I was there. I listen to you while I drive and when I finally got home and was able to look at your pictures I recognized each quilt you described. Keep up the good work!
You’re going to really like your slider. I think every machine has trouble when it comes to getting the fabric to move smoothly. I have a Pfaff and the slider made a great difference on my machine as well. About entering quilt shows….I say “go for it” but you might want to start with a guild show. I’ve entered a few local guild shows (most take entries outside of their own guild members)and have even won a few ribbons. I have 2 quilts going into a show in November. It’s a great way to get feedback from the judges and a local show is a great place to start (I also am not yet comfortable with mailing my quilts, so that’s another advantage, since I can hand delivery them myself).
Yo Brye, what’s up girlfriend? Just listening to your show – jealous is me – quilt shows are my Favorite way to spend a day. And it sounds like Morgan and Sarah would get along great (although 2 years apart) because she screams whenever she doesn’t get her way also!
I did get your email about doing a show together, but my reply to you bounced, and then I forgot. Forgive? Play with me?
Oh and the barefoot poll was my suggestion!
Lovin’ you from afar,
Allison.
Georgeous Bargello!! Thanks for the pictures Lisa and BryeLynn.
Wow, great bargello quilt! And, Brye, I’m really loving frolic. Bet the show was great!
