Special thanks to Emily for sharing her work and suggestion for an online quilt class. Check out the website www.AllPeopleQuilt.com. They have online video classes; some for under $10 a month.
This is the project that Emily shared. The pattern was from the Quilt Sampler Magazine. It is machine pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted. I think this is absolutely beautiful. Please leave comments and share your thoughts on Emily’s work.

Hi Brye!
I just started listening to your podcast yesterday. How are you feeling? Well, could you send me some info on the free lance work? I would greatly appreciate!
Your show is awesome, very informative and a whole lot of fun! Thanks.
How much do you buy for your stash?
The first quilt book I read was by Carol Doak called “Your First Quilt Book (or it should be)” In the book she wrote;
If you like it, buy a yard.
If you really like it, buy 2 yards.
If you can’t live without it, buy as much as your budget permits.
I live by this when it comes to buying for my stash.
Hello, thanks for the mention of my whitework tute on my blog! Brye, I think if you haven’t seen it already, you would love Electric Quilt software. I love it! You design your quilt and then print out the pattern and specs for exactly what fabric to buy. It even allows you to scan in your actual fabric so you can see how it will look. Very cool!
I belong to two different guilds and it is soooo worth it. Even though I don’t have a lot of time to donate to things done at this stage in my life, what I can do has been really rewarding. Plus where else (besides a quilt shop) can you walk into a room of quilters to spend time with!!
