Episode 3 ~ Time Management
Listen to the podcast of this postToday we discussed how to fit your crafting into your schedule and did a book review of “Fabricate“.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you do to fit your crafting into your schedule.
This is my Log Cabin Dreams quilt all laid out and ready to assemble – my Chihuahua, Nacho, refused to stay off of it and had fun mixing up the pieces every few minutes.

Key words to remember:

Fabricate by Susan Wasinger is an excellent book. I reccommend everyone to get it. It is not a quilting book, but she has some innovative ideas that could be used in quilts.
I am Brye Lynn, host, author, and creator of Sew ~ Stitch ~ Create! I am a lifetime sewer and beginner quilter. This blog is dedicated to my journey into the crafting world as I learn and explore my favorite medium – fiber and fabric.

I listen to this podcast and then gave up my sewing room. We change it to a playroom for my 5year old daughter. My sewing area is now in the living room behind the sofa that faces the TV and now I am sewing a lot more. I have family time and sewing time at the same time. Thanks for the ideal.
Maybe it is a good thing you don’t have a sewing room. I never had time to make it to that room.
I loved, loved, loved your time-management podcast. And, I love, love, love this quilt! So cute!
Hey Bryelynn – I am so enjoying your podcasts – be patient (hard to do!!) – your listening audience will grow. I, too, have a long commute (1 hour) – not as long as yours, but I love listening to your podcasts to and from work. I’m sorry you’re not able to take classes – I take as many as I can – I’m fairly new to quilting, although I have sewn all my life. My background is heirloom children’s clothing, christening gowns, etc.. I took my first quilt class 10 years ago and gave up because my points didn’t match! I didn’t know that many people’s don’t. Well, I started quilting again last August – now I’m quilting all the time! Everyone in my family got a quilt for Christmas. Anyway, enough about me – love your podcast – please keep it up, and I know you don’t have a lot of time, but the longer the better for me~
Whew! You are busy!!! I used to commute one hour each way and I grew to love the “me” time.
Your log cabin quilt is wonderful. I love the colorful mix of flowers, butterflies and blocks.
Love the podcast! You ask what am I working on. A paper-piecing fiasco and a (next) Christmas quilt.
Hi Brye Lynn
I can see why your daughter loves your Log Cabin Dreams quilt – it’s exactly what a little girl would want!
Thanks for the time management tips. I’ll try the calendar idea.
I’m really enjoying your podcast. Can’t wait for the next one!
Your log cabin quilt looks beautiful. When I lay anything out my cat walks on it, so I can relate.
Please keep up the podcasts, they give me something to listen to when I get my few minutes of craft time a day. I have a four year old girl and a five month old boy so I don’t get much time to craft. Thank you for letting me know that even though you don’t get alot of time that you are still able to get projects done.
