Episode 1 ~ Welcome
Listen to the podcast of this postWelcome to my little piece of the internet.
This first post is going to focus on why I am starting the blog and a little bit about myself. First off, I am not a crafting, quilting or sewing expert. I am just a beginner who loves the craft and wants to learn as much as I can and create better projects.
I started sewing when I was three years old and it has become a lifetime passion of mine. I sewed or stitched all through my school years. I was always working on something and never had a project too far away. Unfortunately, during my adult years, work took up much of my time and I drifted away from the craft. This blog is my journey back into it. As I learn new things, I will share them hear.
My website is a catalog of my projects. I always heard that you should take pictures of your projects because you never know where they will end up. Let’s face it ~ most crafters are creating something they will eventually give away. There is no better place then a website to record these creations. All the data is kept on someone else’s server, so I don’t have to worry about losing it in mine. Plus, the website displays the information beautifully. At the start, this website has the following pages/links:
- About – tells you a little bit about me and how to get a hold of me.
- Book Store – this is an Amazon book store that will list any books I refer to in the site.
- Completed Projects – All my completed projects, broken down by category. Have Fun ~ Explore!
- My Boutique – Not open yet, but I plan on opening an online quilting and crafting store.
- UFOs – All my unfinished objects. Maybe one day this page will not exist.
- WIPs – All my projects I am currently working on.
- Blogs to follow – I am relatively new to blogging, but as I find really good blogs or podcasts, I will list them here.
- Must Visit Websites – I am still exploring great websites, but as I find them, I will list them here.
- RSS Feed – subscribe and automatically receive notification when something new is posted.
Each week I am going to focus on a different topic. As I am researching it, I will share what I have learned here. Please leave your comments. My goal is to learn more and to help others learn more. At the end of the week, I will produce a podcast of the week’s events.
Thank you for stopping by. Give me a few days and I promise to have some crafty goodness for you to enjoy.

Yea!! Another sewing podcast to get me motivated! Thanks for taking the time to create and post this podcast! Good luck!!
Good for you Brye! Listening to your first episode, and hearing how busy you are I thought 1. Oh crap, she’s not going to have time to make more. But then I kept listening, and I heard how you NEEDED to make time for craft/creating and then I thought, 2. Yay, she will continue because it’s her passion! Good luck, and can’t wait to hear more!
